Three Types of Chart To Guide You in Stock and FX Market


Chart is a graphical tool used by investors or traders to understand the price movement in the market of stock, currency, commodity, or future in a specified time frame.

Investors or traders use chart to predict the future price (price trend) based on the historical and current price.
We can depict the chart in two axes/dimension form. One axis, commonly represented by horizontal x axis, is described as time period. The other axis, vertical y axis is described as price measured in monetary unit. There are three types of chart that mostly used to predict the future price (price trend): Line chart, bar chart, and candlestick chart.

Line chart is the simplest chart that describes the price movement on certain periods of time, usually price at closing time (see picture below)
